In this pivotal role, you'll join the Postgres and Distributed Database Platform Squad as a Principal Cloud Data Automation Engineer, specialising in deploying and migrating PostgreSQL and Distributed SQL Databases like CockroachDB and YugabyteDB across AWS and Azure. This role is ideal for tech-savvy professionals eager to create scalable, automated solutions in public cloud environments.
What You’ll Do:
1. Serve as the go-to expert for automating PostgreSQL and Distributed SQL database solutions.
2. Develop and refine database-as-a-service pipelines for multi-cloud environments.
3. Collaborate with architects, developers, and engineers to ensure efficient, secure cloud database deployments.
4. Implement best practices in provisioning, encryption, security, and data protection.
What You Bring to the Team:
1. Expertise in AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure engineering.
2. Proficiency with tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, Vault, and scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Shell Scripting).
3. Experience with CI/CD pipeline automation tools such as Jenkins.
4. Knowledge of relational and distributed SQL database operations.
5. Strong understanding of DevOps, infrastructure-as-code concepts, and Agile methodologies.
6. Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills, with a track record of working in collaborative, high-performing teams.
