Junior Design Engineer – Commercial Solar About the Role A growing renewable energy company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Design Engineer to join its expanding team.
This role will focus on the design and pricing of commercial solar PV projects, with a strong emphasis on maximising return on investment (ROI) for customers.
You will work closely with an experienced Project Engineer, gaining hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle — from initial design and compliance through to commissioning and after-sales support.
Key Responsibilities Design commercial solar PV systems to optimise performance and ROI Prepare system layouts, technical specifications, and cost estimates Support pricing analysis and proposal preparation Monitor and maintain existing installations Diagnose and resolve system performance issues Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency Develop knowledge of grid infrastructure and connection processes Support regulatory compliance and safety standards Assist with post-sales project delivery and commissioning Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation Qualifications
