Executive Sous Chef Position at Elite Private Resort Golf Club in Co. Kerry, IrelandWe are on the lookout for an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join an elite private resort golf club located in the picturesque Co. Kerry, Ireland. Recognized globally for its exceptional standards, this club offers a year-round opportunity to be part of a prestigious culinary team.Role Overview:The Executive Sous Chef will play a pivotal role in supporting the Executive Chef in upholding high standards of food production, innovative menu development, and efficient kitchen operations. This full-time position spans both leadership and hands-on responsibilities, focusing on maintaining quality, improving cost-effectiveness, and ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations.Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and inspire the kitchen brigade while acting as a role model in food production and presentation.
* Contribute insights and creativity to the menu planning process.
* Maintain rigorous operational hygiene and food safety standards in the kitchen.
* Collaborate with the Executive Chef to achieve desired profitability and meet budgetary expectations.
* Foster excellent relationships with the restaurant management team and other department heads to ensure seamless service delivery.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sous Chef in 4-star or higher hotel kitchens or upscale restaurants.
* A bachelor’s degree in hospitality or culinary arts is preferred but not essential.
* Strong track record of enhancing guest satisfaction and managing a high-performing team.
Skills Required:
* Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written.
* Team-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
* Professional demeanor and a commitment to quality.
* Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
* Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
* Capable of performing various physical tasks necessary in a kitchen environment.
