Job Overview:
* Oversee the development and management of a maternity social work department, ensuring high-quality patient care and outcomes.
* Lead a team of medical social workers in providing comprehensive services to inpatients and outpatients in a maternity setting.
* Act as a designated officer for child protection and welfare cases, prioritizing the safety and well-being of patients.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate pre-birth and discharge planning, streamlining patient pathways and improving care coordination.
* Supervise undergraduate students and implement data-driven management information systems to enhance departmental performance.
Key Qualifications:
* Registered Social Worker with CORU registration.
* 3-5 years of postgraduate experience as a Social Worker, preferably with supervisory or management expertise.
* In-depth knowledge of child protection legislation and guidelines.
* Permission to work in Ireland.
