Position Description We are looking for a Project Engineer with at least 7 years' experience in delivering engineering projects and project management, ideally in the electricity industry. In support of ESB's strategic objectives of decarbonising electricity and building resilient infrastructure, you will work with the team in successful delivery of a programme of projects for the ESB Networks business Key Responsibilities Work with the Project Manager to successfully deliver project works applying a high level of safety standards in all aspects of work Contractor Management - Develop andmanageprojectprogrammes and monitor and manage contractors'construction andcommissioning schedules. Overall management of the tender process including preparation of documents, evaluation and negotiation. Construction Management Management of project interfaces such asprocurement,design, free issue material, power cables, telecoms Coordination of project requirements into overall ESB/EirGridoutage schedules. Build relationships with relevant key stakeholders across ESB and in relevant external agencies Experience and Qualifications Essential Sevenor more years' experience in project management/delivery, ideally within the electricity industry. Level 8 Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering or equivalent work experience is essential Experience dealing with construction contractors to ensure that they deliverto specified requirements. Excellent knowledge ofPSDP and PSCS processes. Excellentunderstanding of key elements of construction and projectmanagement. Hold a full driving licence and have access to a car. Flexibility to travel nationwide Desirable Excellentunderstanding of key elements of HighVoltage (HV)and Electricaldesign. Constructionexperience across a wide range of high voltage engineering projects, for example, Substations, Overhead Line and underground cables projects Project Management Qualification Chartered status or another relevant accreditation Location This position will be based in The Siding, Grand Canal Quay, Dublin 2 or in our Eastgate office in Cork.
