About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sister / Charge Nurse with ultrasound scanning competencies to join our specialist fertility team at The Lister Hospital, currently rated "Outstanding" by the CQC. This is a senior clinical role combining leadership responsibilities with hands-on patient care, including fertility scanning, cycle monitoring, and supporting patients throughout their treatment journey.
You will play a key role in maintaining high clinical standards, supporting junior staff, and ensuring patients receive safe, compassionate, and personalised care.

You Will
* Perform and support transvaginal ultrasound scans for follicle tracking, endometrial lining assessment, and early pregnancy monitoring within scope of competence
* Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing fertility investigations and treatments
* Support assisted conception procedures including egg collection, embryo transfer, and insemination
* Liaise closely with consultants, embryologists, and the wider MDT to ensure seamless care
* Support the Clinic Manager in maintaining clinical governance, quality standards, and patient safety initiatives

What You'll Bring
* Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration
* Significant post-registration experience, ideally within fertility, gynaecology, or women's health
* Competency in performing pelvic/transvaginal ultrasound scans for fertility monitoring
* Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
* Nurse Prescriber course/certificate
* ENB 998 Teaching and Assessing
* ENB 225 (gynae course)
* Counselling course
* Recognised ultrasound qualification or formal fertility scanning training
* Experience in IVF/assisted conception settings
* Leadership or management training
