eir evo talent are currently seeking applicants for an Information Security Officer. This is a day rate contract position located with our client in North Dublin. This role requires 3 days per week onsite.
We are seeking an experienced Information Security Officer to support two major cybersecurity initiatives for a leading organisation. This individual will play a key role in reviewing global retail environments and conducting enterprise-wide cyber risk and control assessments to support strategic and regulatory objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1) Retail Cybersecurity Review
1. Lead delivery of cybersecurity posture assessments across 10 regional retail organisations.
2. Develop and manage delivery plans, track progress, and provide structured observations and recommendations.
3. Oversee implementation of remediation activities, liaising with: Cloud security specialists for Microsoft improvements.
Network security specialists to enhance firewalls and supporting infrastructure.
4. Ensure all activities align to a defined audit methodology while suggesting continuous improvements.
2) Avivation Cybersecurity Risk & Control Assessments
5. Coordinate and deliver cybersecurity risk and control assessments across major complex technology environments.
6. Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to implement a consolidated repeatable approach aligned to multiple regulatory requirements.
7. Create clear reports, recommendations, and roadmaps to address findings.
8. Work with IT security leadership to ensure efficient resolution of recurring issues across platforms and services.
Core Competencies & Experience:
9. Strong knowledge of risk management, governance frameworks, and risk appetite definition.
10. Experience reviewing architectures and applying Zero Trust principles.
11. Ability to assess and review: Authentication models
Data flows
System hardening
Encryption
Build configuration
Logging and monitoring
Segregation of duties
Development lifecycle maturity
12. Proven experience developing or implementing User Access Management processes (joiners/movers/leavers).
13. Capability to assess third-party vendors, cloud service providers, and managed support partners.
14. Strong communication skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality written reports and present findings to stakeholders.
