Your new companyA is a market-leading mechanical contractor working on award-winning projects across Ireland. Due to increased growth in the west of Ireland, they are now seeking to recruit 2 x Mechanical Supervisors / Mechanical Site Managers with HVAC/Piping experience. You will report to the mechanical project manager and work with a multi-functional team to deliver projects that meet quality, time, and budget standards. The successful candidates will work on large multi-million projects in Galway or Mayo regions.
Duties
1. Coordinate and plan resources including labour, materials, and subcontractors.
2. Manage piping and welding subcontractors (process and high purity).
3. Have a general knowledge of Mechanical, HVAC, building services, utilities, & process piping systems.
4. Interpret schematics and mechanical drawings.
5. Manage and lead a team to meet all project requirements and deadlines.
6. Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
7. Report variations and delays to the Project Manager.
8. Prepare relevant reports.
9. Maintain the quality of work throughout installation.
10. Ensure Health & Safety compliance by direct staff and subcontractors.
11. Conduct regular reviews of working practices to improve site safety.
Requirements
* A Mechanical Degree or Trade qualification is essential. Experience as a chargehand, supervisor, or manager is required.
* At least 5 years’ experience with an Irish or UK contractor in a Mechanical Supervisor role; experience as a chargehand is also considered.
* Experience in Process Piping systems on Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, Industrial, Data Centre, or similar projects is preferable.
* Fluent English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in MS Office and Navisworks.
* Ability to work under strict deadlines.
