The Graphic Design Academy of Ireland is a leading provider of quality Graphic Design distance learning and classroom-based courses. Students can attend the courses:Blended learning classroom-based optionsOnline learning environment and distance learningFor February 2026, the Academy will be running a classroom-based BTEC-accredited Higher National course in Graphic Design and is recruiting suitable candidates in the Dublin location at University College Dublin.Our classes are held every second Saturday, from 9.30am - 4.30pm, for 12 Saturdays, and therefore it will suit candidates who want to work around other full-time commitments. This role would be ideal for an experienced Graphic Design educator.There may also be an opportunity for weekday evening teaching, from 6.30pm - 9pm, for 24 Wednesday evenings.This will be the first of 3 intakes, aimed to deliver classes annually, in September, February and June.This is a freelance position.Key responsibilities:Provide support, guidance and tuition to students, drawing on relevant industry and professional experiencePlan and deliver engaging lessons in classroom environments (class presentations are provided to tutor)Develop students creativity and problem-solving skillsEngage with the Senior Academic Operations Manager, and Academic Team to provide feedback on student progress and classroom experience as and when requiredRequirements:A minimun of a degree in Graphic Design from a recognised academic institutionRelevant industry experienceAn understanding of Further/Higher education systems, pedagogy, and assessmentMentoring / Lecturing experience or a training qualification would be an advantageStrong communication and computer skills.Excellent spoken and written English is essentialThe ideal candidate should be able to work on their own initiativeOther competencies:Significant student focus (Pedagogy Teaching)Strong interpersonal skills, showing enthusiasm for the role and the course contentStrong attention to detailProactive work ethicExperience: Industry experience in the design field and a portfolio demonstrating a developed skill set industry: 4 years (preferred)This is a freelance position.The ideal candidate should be able to commit to either every second Saturday and/or Wednesday evening classes, one evening per week tutoring, starting in February.Job Type: Specified-purposePay: €155.00-€300.00 per dayBenefits:Employee discountEducation:Bachelor's (required)Experience:industry: 5 years (required)Mentoring / Teaching a small team: 1 year (required)Language:Fluent English (required)Work authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In person
