Hardware Support Engineer, MSP CX Support

The Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging Customer Experience (MSP CX) team supports internal fulfillment and transportation network customers relying on advanced robotics technology. In this role, you will collaborate with product development, reliability, maintenance, and engineering teams to optimize robotics system performance. Your responsibilities include launching new systems, developing preventive maintenance procedures, ensuring spare part availability, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting, sharing best practices, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within Amazon's fulfillment network.
You will create and implement standard operating procedures, performance metrics, and feedback systems to help the MSP CX team scale effectively. You will work closely with technical support and regional managers to maintain safety, reliability, and performance of robotics technology. The role requires the ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced, high-throughput environment with multiple priorities.
Key job responsibilities
1. Provide on-site support for new product implementations, upgrades, hardware audits, and troubleshooting.
2. Partner with product development, manufacturing, and site-level teams to optimize robotics performance.
3. Identify, analyze, and resolve mechanical and system issues.
4. Design electro-mechanical tools and fixtures for deployed and new products.
5. Develop proactive monitoring tools for safety, reliability, and performance.
6. Create diagnostic tools to reduce troubleshooting time and downtime.
7. Support hardware and system escalation issues.
8. Develop preventative maintenance procedures and training materials.
9. Lead on-site training for RME teams supporting Amazon operations.
10. Manage spare parts systems and processes.
11. Conduct safety, ergonomic, and risk assessments.
12. Produce reports on product safety, reliability, and performance.
13. Provide feedback to support and development teams based on customer needs.
14. Travel up to 75% as required.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, experience in technical support for mechatronic or robotic systems, knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools, and strong problem-solving skills. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree, experience with big data, PLC programming, CAD & FEA tools, and managing hardware implementation projects.
