Morgan McKinley is delighted to bring to market this opportunity for an Interim Lead Management Accountant in Offaly, on behalf of our valued client. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a dynamic and collaborative team within a leading FMCG manufacturing environment.
About the Role:
This is a key finance role supporting the Site Lead, Finance, in delivering timely and accurate financial reporting and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing key financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support in preparing weekly and monthly financial reports and analyzing metrics.
* Act as interim finance lead during periods of annual leave, ensuring continuity of financial oversight and governance.
* Reconcile gross margin figures between P&L accounts and Commercial Reporting, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
* Prepare detailed CAPEX proposals, ensuring business cases are robust and ready for board-level approval.
* Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and correcting any variances.
* Participate in cross-functional operational meetings, contributing to the identification of efficiencies and implementation of action plans.
Key Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years’ accounting experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
* Proven expertise in product costing and BOM (Bill of Materials) management.
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
* Proficient in SAP with strong Excel and analytical skills.
* Excellent problem-solving ability, time management, and interpersonal communication skills.
* A collaborative, metrics-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous process improvement.
