Job Title: Site Clerk

We are seeking a personable and organised Construction Site Clerk with a solid background in the construction industry.


Key Responsibilities:

* Client Liaison: Act as the first point of contact for private clients, providing regular updates and responding to queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
* Site Coordination: Work closely with on-site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure site activities are communicated and aligned with the project schedule.
* Daily Site Administration: Maintain records of site activities, deliveries, attendance, and documentation such as permits, method statements, and health and safety compliance.
* Meeting Coordination: Arrange and attend site meetings as required, taking notes and following up on action points.
* Reporting: Provide daily or weekly progress updates to the Site Manager and/or client as agreed.
* Problem Solving: Assist in resolving minor issues or delays by facilitating clear communication between stakeholders.
* Document Control: Maintain accurate and organised records, including contracts, purchase orders, and variations.


Requirements:

* Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within the construction sector is essential.
* Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and site teams.
* Organisation: Strong administrative and organisational abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Technical Understanding: Basic understanding of construction methods and terminology to effectively liaise with the site team and client.
* IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general comfort with digital tools and record-keeping systems.
* Professionalism: Presentable, reliable, and able to represent the company in a positive light to homeowners and subcontractors alike.
