Responsibilities
The Food and Beverage Assistant’s key purpose is to ensure that all guests of the hotel receive service of the highest standard. The F&B Assistant also plays a key part in ensuring that the outlet to which they are assigned is at all times safe, hygienic, efficient yet welcoming, and operating within budget. The food and beverage team supports and works in partnership with all other departments, ensuring all standards and guest expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
* Assist with the setting up of all dining areas.
* Accurately take orders and requests and communicate these to relevant colleagues in the F&B outlets and Kitchen.
* Serve Food & Beverages to customers within dining rooms, bar, restaurant, outdoor dining, function rooms, lobby areas, and occasional room service.
* Collect room service trays and glassware from corridors.
* Keep work areas clean at all times.
* Follow all hygiene regulations.
* Maximise guest revenue through upselling and needs-based selling.
* Ensure all orders, bills, and dockets are accurately recorded and presented to kitchen, guest, and colleagues at the end of shift.
* Ensure all orders taken are correctly accounted for and paid before shift completion.
* Pass over any ‘open’ cheques or tables to colleagues before completing your shift.
Requirements
* Strong work ethic and customer-centric mindset.
* Excellent written and spoken English.
* Excellent organisation and communication skills.
* Ability to learn new information systems.
* Resilience and capability to work under pressure are advantageous.
