Project Manager Opportunity
Civils contractor is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to oversee construction activities on-site.
The Project Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating project execution, ensuring efficiency, safety, and adherence to established standards and schedules.
Key responsibilities include:
* Reviewing project plans and requirements
* Producing detailed baseline programmes on Microsoft Project
* Tracking programme updates and issuing regular reports to clients
* Identifying critical path delays and negotiating extensions of time with clients
* Reviewing project pricing and tracking internal costs
* Communicating commercial issues and proposed solutions to the Contracts Manager
* Understand contract documentation and communicate required notices to clients
* Line managing Site Agent, Project Engineer, and QS teams
* Reviewing and approving monthly progress claims
* Reviewing and approving Risk Assessment Method Statements and other pre-construction HS documentation
* Carrying out regular HS and quality audits
Required skills and qualifications include:
Proven experience as a Project Manager in civil engineering or construction projects, with utilities experience and working within the road corridor preferred.
Excellent computer skills with detailed knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project.
Full driver's licence.
Background in civil engineering preferred.
