Opportunity
The Associate Director (AD) will lead EY’s Office Connect Team—engineering and delivery—managing a global team that validates and implements designs, lab tests, product certifications, and oversees the delivery of services to Member Firms. The AD will ensure delivery excellence, leverage project management best practices, and collaborate with cross‑functional partners such as Infosec, Supply Chain, Legal, and vendors to deliver Wi‑Fi technology solutions that meet business requirements.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Technical Lead for all global Wi‑Fi designs.
* Strategic thinker with deep understanding of EY end‑user business requirements.
* Delivery expertise ensuring all solutions are fully tested, documented, and represent industry‑leading solutions.
* Forward‑thinking: understand current and next‑generation technologies.
* Experience managing global teams and suppliers.
* Risk management: develop mitigation strategies and continuous improvement.
* Leadership in advanced network monitoring tools and AI.
* Program management, product development, piloting, testing, global deployment, and post‑implementation validation.
Management Responsibilities
* Lead the global engineering and deployment team.
* Develop relationships with approved suppliers and equipment manufacturers.
* Collaborate with business leaders, member firms, and partners on innovative solutions.
* Present industry‑leading technological advancements that drive service quality and secure services aligned with continuous improvement strategy (SLAs, KPI, AI, advanced monitoring).
Knowledge Required for Disciplines
* 15+ years of experience leading network design and architecture teams with a high focus on customer experience.
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or related discipline; Master’s preferred.
* Advanced skills in planning, designing, and troubleshooting complex network environments.
* Track record of customer focus, openness, trust, and delivery on promises.
* Strong time‑management and multi‑project coordination.
* Excellent interpersonal and team working skills across virtual, geographically dispersed teams.
* Data‑guided, analytical approach to translate insights into measurable results.
* Excellent understanding of Office Connect product portfolio.
* Effective communication of complex technical information to diverse audiences.
* Experience developing, managing, and presenting business cases and strategic plans.
Knowledge Required Beyond the Job
* Industry accreditation such as CCNA, CCNP (R&S, Wireless) or Meraki Wireless certifications.
* Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands and rapid change.
* Ability to collaborate with diverse teams both inside and outside IT.
* Proficiency in handling escalations and difficult situations under pressure.
* Awareness of cultural diversity and virtual cross‑border collaboration.
* Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
Problem Solving
* Leverage deep technical knowledge to drive innovation and problem resolution, minimizing outages.
* Manage complex global Wi‑Fi engineering, delivery, and external influences.
* Act as final escalation point for network‑related problems.
* Validate Office Connect solutions using industry best practices and engineering principles.
* Collaborate and develop solution design documentation for regional teams.
Relationships
* Trusted advisor to I&O organization and global stakeholders including hardware suppliers, professional services vendors, WAN, Infosec, and EY supply chain services.
Team Management
* Manage three EY teams consisting of engineering, reporting, and Kyndryl resources.
What We Offer
The compensation range for this role in the U.S. is $134,200 to $258,300. In the New York City metro area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento), the range is $161,000 to $293,500. Total rewards include medical, dental, pension, 401(k), and paid time off. Flexible vacation policy allows you to choose how much time off you need.
