Main Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for high-volume manufacturing processes.
* Prepare and manage the capital package from concept through to project closure
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation system issues, minimizing downtime and maximizing production output.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to optimize manufacturing processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A degree in Engineering or a related field with 5+ years' relevant experience.
* Strong proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley), HMI development, and SCADA systems.
* Familiarity with software applications (C, C++, Python etc) and the suitability of or interaction between PC & PLC based solutions.
* Experience with robotics, vision systems, and other automation technologies.
* Mechanical and/or electrical hands-on experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing and guiding technicians to repair a complex machine in a high-volume environment.
* Able to initiate and lead change, collaborate and create alignment, drive accountability, think critically and make sound decisions.
* Previous experience with customer Management and a knowledge of customer and regulatory requirements.
* Previous experience of coaching and mentoring junior engineers.
