The Opportunity
A Tier 1 Contractor delivering complex, high-value commercial and mission critical projects in Dublin
is seeking a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor to take full commercial ownership of major MEP
packages. This is a lead role with real authority over procurement, cost control, and final account
delivery.
Key Responsibilities
MEP Commercial Leadership
Take full commercial responsibility for major MEP subcontract packages including HVAC, electrical,
public health, BMS, and specialist systems.
Lead cost reporting, forecasting, and cashflow management for MEP scopes.
Provide accurate commercial input to senior project and commercial leadership.
Procurement & Contract Strategy
Develop and implement MEP procurement strategies aligned with programme and risk profile.
Lead tender processes, commercial comparisons, negotiations, and subcontract awards.
Manage subcontract conditions, payment mechanisms, and change control.
Change Management & Reporting
Lead valuation, agreement, and control of variations and compensation events.
Maintain robust records supporting entitlement and cost recovery.
Prepare and agree interim and final accounts with MEP subcontractors.
Team Leadership & Interface
Mentor and support junior MEP QSs where applicable.
Work closely with design managers, planners, project managers, and site teams.
Act as the key commercial interface between MEP subcontractors and the main contractor.
Requirements
Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
8–12+ years' QS experience with strong MEP package exposure.
Experience delivering MEP works on large commercial or mission critical projects.
Tier 1 contractor background preferred.
Strong commercial judgement, negotiation skills, and contractual awareness.

Salary range: €105,000 – €125,000 DOE
