Our Public Sector client is currently recruiting for an Assistant Project Managerto join their Capital & Estates Department in Dublin West. The successful candidate will oversee minor and major capital works within the region, tendering projects, managing contractors, managing design teams and communicating with the various stakeholders.
This is an initial 1-year contract role which offers great scope for extension and future permanency.

9. Plan, manage, and supervise major and minor capital works projects, ensuring delivery within budget and compliance with procurement and regulatory requirements.
10. Prepare project briefs, budgets, and tender recommendations in collaboration with stakeholders and advisors.
11. Oversee contractors and staff in the implementation of capital works and maintenance programmes.
12. Ensure properties, buildings, and equipment are maintained in line with statutory and safety standards.
13. Support the development of property management strategies, including acquisition, disposal, compliance, and utilisation of assets.
14. Monitor and promote energy efficiency, sustainability, and environmental performance across facilities.
15. Advise on health, safety, and risk management in line with regulatory and organisational requirements.
16. Build strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, and external partners to support the effective delivery of projects.
17. Provide timely reports and updates on project progress, risks, and resource needs.
Requirements
Candidates must have at the latest date of application:
Hold a Level 8 (or higher) Quality & Qualifications Ireland (QQI) major academic award in Architecture*, Engineering* or Surveying* accredited by the relevant Professional Institute (Society of Chartered Surveyors in Ireland, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Engineers Ireland, Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland).
Or
Have Full Membership of the relevant professional association:
18. Society of Chartered Surveyors in Ireland
19. Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
20. Engineers Ireland
21. Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland
And
Have had at least five years' satisfactory & relevant experience in planning, design, project management or construction of buildings or in the installation or maintenance of the mechanical, electrical, and heating services of such buildings.
