The Regional Customs Manager is responsible for delivering customs advisory services and oversight of customs compliance activities for businesses with trade activity in Europe & Trkiye.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Regional Trade Compliance Manager. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of customs regulations and practices across Europe & Trkiye, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
">
The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting customs compliance capabilities within businesses, developing and leveraging deep relationships with corporate groups, such as Tax, and acting as an enabler for commercial growth in the region.
">
In this role, you will work closely with various stakeholders to identify optimization opportunities related to duty suspension, preferential duty treatment and other programs. You will also analyze import and export data to identify trends, areas of concern and enhancement opportunities.

Responsibilities:

1. Initiate, lead and participate in strategic projects and initiatives for businesses.
">
2. Educate and effect change in the region - and implement and enforce standards.
">
3. Analyze import and export data to identify trends, areas of concern and enhancement opportunities.
">
4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with Customs and Border agencies in the region, leveraging those relationships to contribute to trade policy proactively.
">
5. Contribute to the strategic objectives of Caterpillar's Trade Center of Excellence and the wider Enterprise.

Requirements:
">

* Bachelor's Degree preferred.
">
* Appropriate customs and trade compliance qualifications from recognized bodies in the region also considered.
">
* Licensed Customs Broker or equivalent qualifications preferred.
">
* Demonstrated progressive experience in a relevant regional role for customs compliance, ideally candidates will have had exposure to global customs practices.
">
* Deep expertise of customs regulations and practices across Europe & Trkiye.
">
* Knowledge of the markets, issues, regulations, practices and operations of international trade; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately in diverse situations.
">
* Level Expert: Deep experience in evaluating operational processes for customs compliance activities.
">
* Experience of managing Global Trade Management systems.
">
* Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
">
* Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
">
* Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
