Management Accountant Required:
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at Collins McNicholas. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a vital role in assisting with the preparation of financial reports and statements, supporting the month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports and statements.
* Support the finance team during the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure all deadlines are met.
* Reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
* Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Maintain and update accounting records and files to ensure they are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
* Assist with audits and provide support to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
* Prepare and submit tax returns and other financial documentation as required.
* Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting and forecasting activities to ensure accurate projections and strategic planning.
* Utilize accounting software for data entry, financial analysis, and reporting to optimize business performance.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field such as Finance.
* Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
* Experience with accounting software is a plus.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
