About Your New Job Securing funding: Oversee the overall management of the affairs and operations of the company. Managing key programmes: Ensure delivery through a well-established management structure. Policy formulation: Determine and formulate policies, objectives, and strategies, providing overall advice and direction to the Board. Programme development: Identify and secure sources for new programmes and initiatives. Representation: Promote the company at local and national levels to various bodies and agencies. Stakeholder collaboration: Work with local stakeholders to identify and develop new opportunities for the benefit of the county. Strategic alliances: Develop effective collaborations with appropriate bodies and networks. Performance monitoring: Set and monitor targets for the company's programmes, ensuring effective and efficient delivery. Board reporting: Arrange regular opportunities for conferring with and reporting to Board members. Operational review: Evaluate the performance of the programmes delivered by the company on an ongoing basis. Staff management: Maintain an effective system of staff performance management and development. Financial oversight: Provide appropriate and necessary management and financial accounts for the company, ensuring compliance with statutory procedures and requirements. Strategic support: Support Board and staff in delivering on the key objectives of the company's Strategic Plan. What Skills You Need Relevant third-level qualification or equivalent professional qualification with proven developmental, financial, analytical, and ICT skills. High level of experience in driving and delivering strategic plans, including in rural, community, or related fields. Thorough understanding of inclusion, local/rural development challenges, and familiarity with legislation, national policies, and practices. Excellent interpersonal, communication, human resources, and change management skills. Proven competence in attracting and managing funding from different sources. Ability to deliver, prioritise, and implement with a strong strategic perspective while managing multiple projects and deadlines. Leadership, entrepreneurial, commercial, and corporate governance skills. Ability to develop, motivate, and lead all levels of the organisation, working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Ability to identify and manage conflict and sensitive issues to achieve positive outcomes with confidentiality. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
