Ace Enterprise Park has grown into a cornerstone of business growth and community innovation in South Dublin. What began as a small local initiative has evolved into a vibrant hub where entrepreneurs, social enterprises, and community projects come together to share ideas, build skills, and create long-term local impact.

About the Role

The post of General Manager is a new position in Action Community & Enterprise CLG that has been created through the ambitious strategic growth plans that will cover the period 2026 to 2030 and beyond.

This role sits between the Chief Executive Officer and the Management team of Ace Enterprise Park.

The purpose of this role is to allow the CEO to focus on the strategic direction and growth of the organisation, whilst knowing the day to day operations is in safe hands.

It is envisioned to be full time on site, but flexibility is understood as part of the role and sector.

This role will act as the central point ensuring all parts of our organisation work harmoniously, bringing order to the complexity and driving excellence to meet mission critical objectives.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead a dedicated team on site and remotely who are committed to the impact we make.
This involves overall management and oversight of staff, operations and administration within the Company.

Key Areas of Focus

o Operational oversight of facilities, including H&S.

o Development of new services, partnerships, and revenue streams.

o Driving a high performing team.

o Prudent financial management, budgeting, and reporting.

o Compliance, governance, and risk management at operational level.

o Identify potential new stakeholder and community engagement opportunities.

What is deemed essential... can you demostrate the following?

o
Experience in enterprise development, innovation, business support, community enterprise, or a related field.

o
Strong leadership and people-management experience.

o
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder skills.

o
Proven ability to manage projects within budget and deliver results. Problem solving, ability to think in a fast paced environment.

What we'd love you to have...

o
Experience in managing enterprise centres, hubs, incubators, or shared workspaces.

o
Experience of building collaborative partnerships to achieve shared objectives

o
Familiarity with public sector partners (LEOs, Enterprise Ireland, etc.).

o
Experience in seeking and obtaining funding supports for initiatives and programmes from public, private, philanthropy sources

o
Understanding of the Irish social/community enterprise ecosystem.

o
Background in entrepreneurship, management, or community-economic development

Terms & Conditions

o
The General Manager will report to the CEO.

o
The Salary for this position is commensurate with experience, and there is access to the company pension scheme as well as the Hospital Saturday Fund.

o
The position will be permanent, the first six months which will be a probationary period.

o
The General Manager will have 25 days annual leave. (exclusive of public holidays and any Christmas closure period). We operate a loyalty program, where additional holidays can be awarded.

o
Working Hours will be 35 hours per week. There will be an expectation of flexibility to facilitate evening or weekend work. Any overtime required will not receive an overtime payment beyond the salary. The office is based in Bawnogue.

o
Mobile Phone, laptop and mileage/subsistence allowances (at public service rates) will be part of the conditions of employment

o
Training and professional development funding and support may be provided by agreement with the Board.
