Overview of Role
UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic are currently recruiting for a Radiographer to cover a period of absence. This contract will be for 6 months. The Radiographer reports to and is accountable to the Radiology Services Manager in all matters relating to the job.
Responsibilities
* Take responsibility for patients where you will carry out diagnostic radiography or imaging procedures.
* Practice within the policies and procedures set out by the UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic.
* Maintain a high standard of radiography care and ensure Radiation Protection Rules are applied at all times.
* Show commitment to the ethos and philosophy of the UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic.
* Participate in the clinic’s accreditation programme and continuous quality improvement.
* Administer routine daily inspection of equipment and quality assurance procedures; report all defects.
* Collaborate with other disciplines and manage complex cases.
* Contribute to clinical risk management and promote staff morale.
Qualifications & Experience
* Possess Bachelor of Science degree in Diagnostic Radiography or Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent validated by CORU.
* Registered with CORU.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and proven written and verbal communication abilities.
* Computer literate.
* Work on own initiative, prioritise and manage multiple issues simultaneously with attention to detail.
* Identify potential difficulties and formulate solutions.
