M&M Qualtech are currently recruiting for Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Operators/Technical Production Operators on our day shift and evening shift.
The Surface Mount Technology Machine Operatoras a member of the production team will be responsible for the operation of SMT assembly line equipment in compliance with standard operating procedures in a good manufacturing practice environment.
Job Responsibilities
* Setup and operate solder paste machine, pick and place machine and AOI machines.
* Ensure procedures on component reel changes and machine setup are followed including picking and kitting material to SMT feeders and de-kitting at the end of builds.
* Complete all required documentation accurately, clearly and completely in line with specific procedures and GMP & GDP standards.
* Consistently meet required production outputs in terms of quality and quantity ensuring that customer expectations are met.
* Touch up and repair of placement and reflow issues as required to ensure continuous flow line operation.
* Follow written instructions in full while performing all tasks.
* Demonstrate a quality culture within a team environment, ensuring that procedures and work methods for the area are accurate and fully complied with.
* Contribute improvement ideas and participate in continuous improvement activities.
* Willing to be flexible and open to learning, and training in new processes.
* Maximize output by operating efficiently and minimizing waste.
* Maintain proper housekeeping and Health & Safety standards.
* Contribute to other company lead improvement programmes and projects.
* Other reasonable tasks as requested by the supervisor/line lead.
Essential Requirements:
* Leaving Certificate of Level 5 qualification.
* Previous experience in a similar role operating pick and place machines or AOI equipment.
* Strong aptitude for setting up and operating automated equipment.
* High level of attention to detail is essential.
* Strong communication skills - written and verbal.
Desirable
· Experience operating MyData equipment.
· Trained in IPC SMT component placement standards and SMT component placement inspection standards.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience working in a medical manufacturing environment.
* Ability and experience working shift hours.
* Previous experience in a target driven environment.
* Computer literacy using Word, Excel.
* Excellent time and attendance record.
Essential Criteria
· Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
· Right to work full time hours in Ireland.
