Full-time | Fixed term (5 months) | February – June Overview We're looking for a mid-to-senior Media Planner / Performance Planner to cover paternity leave.
The role focuses on media planning, strategy, and campaign oversight across key clients, working closely with client services, creative, and data teams.
This is a planning-led role, ideal for someone comfortable owning media thinking end-to-end.
Although initially a fixed-term paternity cover, there is potential for the role to develop into a longer-term opportunity for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities Lead digital media planning across multiple campaigns and clients Translate client objectives into clear media strategies, channel mixes, budgets, and phasing Create robust media plans with clear rationale and strategic thinking Provide platform guidance across Meta, Google suite, Tik Tok and other key digital channels, grounded in best practice Review in-platform performance and guide optimisation direction Support and work alongside a small digital/performance team Feed performance insights back into future planning Required Experience4–7+ years experience in digital media planning or performance planning Strong experience planning across Meta, Google and key digital channels Deep understanding of both performance and traditional media, with an understanding of full funnel campaigns Comfortable with analytical analysis and using digital metrics to shape media planning Agency experience preferred Confident communicator with strong strategic thinking Comfortable managing multiple workstreams Contacts with key media houses and publishers is a bonus Proven experience leading performance-led campaigns, aligning media strategy to commercial outcomes, with a strong track record of driving ticket sales and revenue at scale Strong understanding of new ad formats, measurement and innovation opportunities with media platforms Build relationships with key platforms Deep understanding of audience strategy, with proven experience integrating first-party data, audience segmentation and lifecycle thinking into media planning and activation Contract Details Full-time, fixed-term (5 months)February to June Hybrid working Immediate availability preferred About 53 Six53 Six is an independent sports marketing and creative agency working with leading rights-holders, brands, and broadcasters across Ireland, the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
