Health Safety Advisor Role
Job Description:
This role involves implementing and maintaining environmental health and safety policies and systems. The successful candidate will provide expert guidance to management, employees, and subcontractors on EHS legislation and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Implement and maintain Environmental Health & Safety policies and systems
* Provide expert guidance to management, employees, and subcontractors on EHS legislation and best practices
* Deliver site inductions and health & safety training to ensure compliance
* Develop and review EHS documentation, including risk assessments and method statements
* Conduct regular site audits and inspections, ensuring corrective actions are taken
* Investigate incidents and ensure proper reporting and follow-up
* Maintain EHS records, reports, and registers
* Support site teams with Toolbox Talks and EHS initiatives
* Prepare Safety Files for client handover
Requirements:
* Degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or related field
* Minimum 8 years experience in a similar role
* Experience on large-scale construction projects
* Full, clean driving licence
* Strong IT skills, especially in Microsoft Excel
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
