Machinist/Toolmaker – evening & night shift
Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, the Machinist/Toolmaker will provide technical support across shifts to optimise equipment performance and maintain tooling to ensure high quality precision polymer extrusion.
The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, flexible and responsive to changing production demands. This position will suit individuals who are focused on technical solutions, problem solving and continuous improvement.
We are seeking applicants who meet the following essential criteria:
* Time served/qualified engineering technician
* Experience in the use of lathes, mills and general workshop equipment to a high standard
* Experience in the maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment in a production environment
* Computer literate
* Ability to read and work from technical drawings
* Experience of working to high tolerances i.e. one ten thousandths of an inch
* Previous polymer extrusion and solid works experience would be beneficial
* Current Phase 7 apprentices may be considered.
