Site Supervisor (Civils) Job Description
The successful candidate will support the delivery of a prestigious project, managing projects to meet predefined timelines and budget frameworks.
Main Responsibilities:
* Manage multiple projects across urban and rural environments.
* Liaise with clients and their representatives to ensure successful project delivery.
* Review and interpret detailed construction drawings.
* Amend designs based on feedback and project requirements.
* Foster a leadership-driven environment within the on-site team.
* Coordinate with Contracts Managers and other Site Agents to manage site activities and resource needs.
* Meet customer expectations while building trust and confidence.
* Continuously improve project delivery processes through critical evaluation.
* Introduce and apply innovative technologies to enhance service delivery and efficiency.
* Mentor design and site teams; identify training needs among junior staff.
* Monitor project progress to ensure completion on time.
* Oversee the delivery and quality of materials; resolve discrepancies as needed.
* Ensure compliance with client specifications, safety legislation, and other relevant regulations.
* Oversee traffic management and on-site health and safety, including required safety inspections.
* Coordinate with local authorities for pre- and post-work inspections of footways.
* Work with scheduling teams to manage workflow and programme delivery.
* Provide regular status updates to clients.
* Handle customer complaints regarding completed works.
Essential Experience and Competencies:
* Full, clean drivers' licence.
* Relevant qualification in engineering or equivalent (desirable).
* Experience in civil engineering, drainage, or utilities (particularly water and electricity).
* Ability to read and interpret construction designs and drawings.
* Commercial awareness of project costs.
* Experience working with multiple teams and managing site operations.
* Strong knowledge of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental (HSQE) standards.
* Understanding of ground support systems and safe excavation practices.
* Proficient in standard computer applications and project management tools.
