Job Description & Skills Required

Job Responsibilities

* Connecting with Hiring Managers to gather their requirements and create job descriptions.
* Post advertisements for jobs and actively promote roles on job posting boards.
* Maintain employee database and recruitment portal including engaging with head office functions.
* Screen CVs and carry out initial interviews with candidates.
* Coordinate in-person interviews and hiring events with candidates and hiring managers.
* Deliver excellent service throughout including interview follow-up and feedback, managing delivery of offers and any related documentation.
* Full responsibility for the Onboarding & Offboarding process.
* Supporting the delivery of a complete onboarding & offboarding programme.
* Assisting in and conducting research for other onboarding initiatives, as well as using tangible data to inform the structure and building of additional induction resources.
* Communicating onboarding progress to hiring managers and key stakeholders, offering solutions for onboarding issues and adopting a continuous improvement approach.
* Maintain a superior working knowledge of current onboarding and offboarding legislation (probation period, unfair dismissals, retirements) and employer responsibilities and inform management of changes needed before they arise.
* Monitoring the onboarding process to ensure the experience is positive for the employee and hiring manager and ensuring all new hires are set up from HR systems and processed by payroll in a timely manner.
* Full responsibility for the leavers- ensuring all employees are removed from HR systems and processed by payroll in a timely manner and ensuring all the offboarding experience is positive for the employee.
* Liaising with vendors to ensure employees (leavers) are removed from their listings.
* Communicating offboarding (retirement, general leavers) progress to managers and key stakeholders, offering solutions for offboarding issues and adopting a continuous improvement approach.
* Managing relevant ad hoc projects, ensuring that BAU activity is managed simultaneously.
* Assist in Creating and Revision HR policies ensuring the policies are consonant with the latest regulations. This includes revising and introducing onboarding and offboarding policies to support our employees.
* Work as part of a connected HR team to drive forward collectively our crucial HR processes and deliverables in relation to employee engagement, EVP and well-being.
* Act as a stakeholder in Manor Homecare Onboarding and Offboarding Service, Managing Records and Tracking most recent updates for employees.
* Answering general queries on the HR Helpdesk phone line or via the HR People Services mailbox in a professional and prompt manner.
* Supporting senior staff across the HR department under various projects.

Experience and Qualifications Required

2-3 years experience in a similar role.

Advanced Excel skills for reporting on metrics

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Experience working in a busy department with multiple responsibilities

Genuine desire to resolve employee issues in a professional and timely manner
