Scada infrastructure specialist

The role of Senior SCADA Engineer is a critical position within our organisation's DMSO (Distribution Markets and System Operation) Operations Systems Support team.


Key Responsibilities:

* Ensure the 24x7 operation of SCADA systems for ESB Networks and the National Distribution Control Centre are fully supported and maintained.
* Develop data engineering solutions for SCADA integration works, HMI displays, reports and signal lists.
* Support commissioning activities for new and existing substations and distribution automation devices.
* Develop procedures, processes and work instructions to support and maintain the SCADA system.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of SCADA solutions that meet ESB Networks' overall strategy for safe management and operation of the distribution system.
* Provide ongoing support to ensure smooth roll out and reliable operation of SCADA and Distribution Automation Systems nationally.
* Deliver new projects required to meet strategic objectives of the DMSO.
* Stay up-to-date with best practice developments in network operation systems.
* Develop, maintain and test Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) configurations.
* Contribute to the development of advanced SCADA and Distribution Management Systems applications.
* Support the OT Cybersecurity Manager.
* Develop and deliver training programmes to ensure effective use of systems by users.
* Monitor Service Level Agreements with key stakeholders as required.

Collaborate with vendors to resolve technical issues and evaluate new systems and functionality.
