National Development ManagerThe Camogie Association is seeking a National Development Manager as part of the Associations SeniorLeadership team.The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development, participation, retention and gamesrelated strategies of the Association, driving growth, engagement and improving standards across the coachingand games aspects of the Associations work.The National Development Manager will report to the CEO, and will lead the staff team in the Developmentfunction of the Association, with responsibility for developing and implementing strategy in the followingAreasKey Responsibilities of the role includeTechnical and Research Development Design. lead and implement the Associations National Development& Strategic plansParticipation & Retention Design & oversee key strategies, programmes to drive growth, participation andplayer retentionGames Development - Build and support strategies to provide age appropriate and meaningful gamesprogrammes across the AssociationStrategic Planning & Implementation - Develop and deliver annual development work plans in line withNational Development plan objectivesPeople Management - The management and support of the development team, ensuring their ongoingmotivation and performance delivery. Working as part of the Association senior management team, tosupport the ongoing operation of the Association.Oversight of Development Budget Lead development budgeting and financial planning,ensuring compliance with financial procedures. Identify potential funding opportunities andcompletion offunding applications.Required CriteriaA degree ore equivalent level 8 qualification in relevant to sports science, education or other relevant areaThree years comparable work experience of leading, motivating and guiding staff, throughcontinuous development, towards strategic outcomes and objectivesAdvanced knowledge of and experience of the fundamental requirements associated with thetechnical development of sport from grassroots to elite/intercounty levelsDetailed knowledge of player, coach and referee development pathways in sportAbility to define and develop a technical strategyDemonstratable experience of preparing budgets and reporting financial and operationalperformance against targetsThe Successful Candidate Will Also Have The FollowingCurrent full clean driving license, insurance, and access to own transport.The appointment will be subject to Garda/PSNI vetting clearance.Desirable CriteriaThe Following Will Be Advantageous To ApplicantsKnowledge of Camogie/hurling coach education processes and materialsKnowledge of Camogie/hurling referee education processesKnowledge of Microsoft Office and other IT related packagesKnowledge and/or experience of adult learning methodologiesExperience of developing tutor and/or coach and/or referee education materialsPrevious playing experience of Camogie/hurlingWhat We OfferCompetitive SalaryPension ContributionsHybrid Remote Working PolicyContinuous Training and Development OpportunitiesLocation this role is based in the Camogie Association Offices beside Croke Park, DublinJob type: Permanent (subject to 6-month probationary period).Working hours: Hours of attendance will be as fixed from time to time but will not amount to less than 39 hoursper week.
