Kare Camps (Easter, Summer & Halloween) and Saturday Clubs in 2026Social Care Assistant positionsLocation: Co, Kildare & West WicklowSocial Care Assistant Salary Scale: from €16.62 hourlyAcross 2026 Kare will be hosting Easter, Summer and Halloween Camps, in addition to regular Saturday Clubs for children with additional needs. We are seeking Social Care Assistants to join the Kare team and support Service Users during these events. Under the direction of the relevant Leader, the Social Care Assistant role aims to ensure individuals are respected, treated with dignity and supported.ResponsibilitiesSupport Service Users who attend Kare's Summer Camps to create a fun atmosphereAssist in implementing the agreed programmes and ensure that each Service User is involved in activities that reflect on their interestsAssist Service Users, when necessary, at mealtimes using appropriate feeding methods if applicableSupport each person where appropriate with regards to their personal/intimate care and medicationMaintain effective communication with families and relatives, where appropriateCommunicate with individual Service Users in a manner that is empowering for them using appropriate communication aids when necessaryRequirementsMinimum Qualification: QQI Level 5 Intellectual Disability Practice/Social Care/Childcare/relevant qualificationA very good understanding of and experience support people with challenging behaviours and the use of positive behaviour support plans to support individualsExcellent communication, teamwork, interpersonal, organisational & initiative skillsAbility to build trusting and respectful relationshipsEnjoy working on your own with a person with an intellectual disabilityBe eligible to work in Ireland without sponsorshipClosing date for applications is15thFebruary 2026.A detailed Job Description is available on request.
