We are Hiring a Colorectal Clinical Nurse Specialist(CNM2 Grade) for our Hospital client in Dublin.
(Part time (18.5hrs) /Permanent Contract) Responsibilities Provide a specialist colorectal nursing service across the patient care pathway, from diagnosis through treatment, recovery, and follow-up.
Undertake comprehensive patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans using evidence-based practice.
Act as a key point of contact for patients and families, offering education, support, and guidance throughout the colorectal care journey.
Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team (surgery, oncology, gastroenterology, stoma care, radiology, allied health professionals) to coordinate patient-centred care.
Deliver patient and family education, including pre- and post-operative care, symptom management, lifestyle advice, and treatment compliance.
Provide clinical leadership and specialist advice to nursing and healthcare staff, acting as a resource and role model in colorectal nursing practice.
Participate in and lead clinical audit, service evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of clinical policies, procedures, and guidelines relevant to colorectal services.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure compliance with governance, safety, and professional standards.
Engage in continuous professional development, research activities, and service planning in line with NMBI scope of practice.
Requirements Registered on the General Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by NMBI Minimum 5 years' post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting Recognised qualification and/or relevant experience in colorectal and/or stoma care nursing Proven clinical competence and professional ability Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to engage with patients positively and staff Strong IT skills, with proficiency in relevant clinical and administrative systems Ability to work independently and on own initiative, including under pressure Evidence of ongoing commitment to continuous professional development (CPD) Ability to work effectively with staff at all levels within the organisation Enthusiastic, motivated, and adaptable approach to work Benefits Employee Assistance Program Learning and Development Support.
