Essential criteria
* A full QQI level 7 Award in Social Care or Applied Social Care/Studies/Practice at degree level is essential
* Eligible to register with CORU as a Social Care Worker
* At least one year’s recent experience working as a Social Care Worker supporting people with complex needs
* Availability to work shifts on a rota basis including evenings and weekends and waking night duty shifts
* Full drivers licence (manual) desirable
* Permission to work in Ireland essential
Schedule
Staff are required to work shifts on a rota basis including evenings and weekends and waking night duty shifts.

Qualifications required
* A full QQI level 7 Award in Social Care or Applied Social Care/Studies/Practice at degree level is essential, (or relevant schedule 3 qualification as listed on CORU's website) with at least 6 months recent experience working as a Social Care Worker supporting people with complex needs; OR
* A relevant 3rd level qualification at degree level i.e. Social Work/Psychology with at least 2 years recent experience working as a Social Care Worker supporting people with complex needs; AND
* Proof of successful registration with CORU as a Social Care Worker
* OR proof of application in progress with CORU.
Skills/Abilities
* Proven knowledge of current legislation and regulations relating to the Social Care Sector
* Understanding of the needs and rights of individuals with autism
* Proven ability to work on own initiative
* Proven experience in the implementation and development of support/care plans and PCPs
* Places the needs of the person supported as the key focus in all activities
* Delivers support according to the person’s PCP and care plan
* Fluent English and excellent communication skills
* Full, clean drivers licence (manual) desirable
