**Exciting Opportunity at Supermac's Head Office - Financial Accountant Wanted**
Job Purpose:
The Financial Accountant will report to the Financial Controller and be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Accounting Function in Head Office.
The Job:
* Prepare year-end accounts and assist with business/financial plans as required.
* Review accounting procedures and controls regularly, updating them as necessary in collaboration with the finance team.
* Implement and maintain systems to support effective financial management, including budgetary control.
* Ensure accurate financial reports are produced for weekly and monthly management meetings.
* Oversee quality of work performed by the team to meet/exceed expected standards.
* Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable systems, preparing control accounts for debtors, bank, and creditors.
* Establish proper controls to prevent double payments and ensure team members are adequately trained to handle daily tasks.
* Oversee submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory returns.
* Collaborate with restaurants and shops, providing analysis and assistance as needed.
* Ensure all Bank accounts are reconciled properly and implement systems to verify Balance Sheet account reconciliation.
* Serve as the key point of contact for auditors and prepare audit files.
* Develop and implement training programs for team members.
* Put in place procedures to check lodgments and credit card receipts on bank statements and investigate discrepancies.
* Address queries from other finance team members as needed.
* Flexibly use other accounting systems and provide assistance to other areas of the business.
* Monitor team performance and motivate them to focus on weekly tasks.
* Perform other ad-hoc duties and projects benefiting the business.
