">Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Specialist Nurse to join our team in Child and Adolescent Mental Health of Intellectual Disability. As a Specialist Nurse, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and support to children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess and manage the mental health needs of children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities.
* Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
* Provide expert clinical advice and guidance to colleagues and families.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in the field.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* A degree in nursing or a related field.
* Current registration as a nurse on the active Register of Nurses and Midwives held by NMBI.
* Registration in the Intellectual Disability Division of the Register of NMBI.
* Post-registration qualification relevant to the specialist area (Child and Adolescent Mental Health of Intellectual Disability).
* At least 1 year of post-registration full-time experience in the RNID division of the register.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
