Analytics Engineer – DBT / Snowflake

The Role
We're looking for an
Analytics Engineer
to support the migration and rebuilding of BI datasets in a Snowflake environment. You will play a key role in transforming, reconciling, and preparing datasets for end users, ensuring high-quality insights through Power BI. This role is ideal for someone who wants to shape next-generation data workflows, work with modern cloud technologies, and influence how data is delivered across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Transform and standardise BI datasets from Snowflake fact and dimension tables.
* Build high-quality, business-ready datasets for use in Power BI.
* Manage data refresh schedules, alerts, and automated reporting processes.
* Ensure data quality through reconciliation, testing, and robust data controls.
* Collaborate with business teams to define datasets and build effective visualisations.
* Maintain clear documentation of data workflows, transformations, and models.
* Work closely with BI developers, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements.
* Support migration from legacy SQL Server datasets to Snowflake.
* Provide technical guidance on data engineering best practices and Snowflake features.
About You:
* Strong SQL skills with experience querying and optimising data in Snowflake.
* Proficiency in
dbt
for transformation and orchestration.
* Experience developing reports and data models in
Power BI
.
* Familiarity with SSIS for supporting dataset migration from SQL Server.
* Experience with
Python
or
R
for automation and data manipulation.
* Knowledge of GitHub or similar version control tools.
* Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical teams.
* Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and commitment to data quality.
* Highly organised, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
