Senior ETL Developer - Contract
12-month rolling contract | 1 day per week onsite | Competitive daily rate
A well-known organisation is seeking an experienced data professional to support key initiatives focused on streamlining how data is accessed, processed, and delivered across platforms. You'll join a high-performing team working on active data provisioning and transformation projects using both cloud-based and on-prem tools.
Role Overview:
1. Lead data movement and transformation using a mix of cloud-native and traditional ETL technologies.
2. Transfer structured data between SQL-based systems and a cloud data warehouse, with use of object storage for centralised datasets.
3. Optimise, troubleshoot, and refactor stored procedures, views, and legacy SQL logic.
4. Integrate data from a variety of sources including flat files and external APIs.
5. Build reusable datasets and deliver reporting solutions, working closely with internal teams to define requirements.
What We're Looking For:
6. Strong background in ETL development, ideally across both modern cloud tools and classic data integration platforms.
7. Advanced SQL capabilities, with experience tuning and updating production code.
8. Familiarity with cloud data platforms and object-based storage.
9. Comfortable ingesting data from mixed sources and formats.
10. Proficient in building reporting solutions and collaborating with end users to deliver insights.
