We are Kids Inc. We provide Early Years and Afterschool Care services. With an experience of more than 25 years in the childcare industry, we operate across Ireland. We have a fun and engaging environment for children with a focus on sports and nutrition and a strict 'No Screen Time' policy. Kids Inc runs 4 Creches and Preschool services in Dublin and hosts over 60 onsite Afterschool Care programs nationwide.
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our busy team in the Dublin area. This is a fixed-term contract (FTC) with potential for permanent placement. Working schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 9am–5pm.
Main duties & responsibilities
* Carry out day-to-day maintenance and repair duties within the properties
* Move and maintain equipment and furniture as directed
* Undertake and resolve maintenance problems to a basic level across all disciplines: bulb changing, plumbing, carpentry, tiling, mechanical and general labouring
* Use hand and power tools safely and properly
* Work in and around the public in a positive and professional manner
* Adapt to priority changes of workflow or requirements
* Perform job functions with minimal supervision
* Handyman repairs, carpentry, plumbing tasks; overall facilities upkeep
* Ensure the work area is a safe environment for staff and children
* Drive a self-managed company van to jobs throughout Dublin following a schedule
* Use email systems and submit reports

Your profile and qualifications
* Clean Garda Vetting
* At least 3 years' experience in a construction/maintenance environment, with demonstrated ability to resolve basic maintenance issues across all disciplines (bulb changing, plumbing, carpentry, tiling, mechanical and general labouring)
* Full Clean Category B Vehicle license (no endorsements or penalty points) – essential. Full D/D1 license (desirable)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work unsupervised and take initiative with regular reports to Directors
* Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment
All successful candidates will need to go through Garda Vetting and provide a Valid Police Certificate (applicable to employees who have lived outside Ireland for more than 6 months since the age of 18).
