Summary
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Finance Business Partner, a role within the sales function of the business. This role will require a high degree of autonomy, working closely with the management team to provide commercial insight to the Management and Leadership teams. The role will involve leading out key projects and process improvements which have been identified as integral to the future direction of the department.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
* Partner with senior commercial owners and non-financial teams (Marketing, Purchasing, Supply Chain and Operations) to provide stakeholders with insightful commercial analysis to evaluate, monitor and drive business performance and influence decision making.
* Identify, own and develop commercial KPIs and related dashboards and reports to understand and drive performance.
* Conduct bottom-up assessment and appraisal of processes and routines, identify those that can be automated or streamlined, and develop and execute project plans to implement full automation.
* Proactively communicate and manage customer key accounts and proposals – including e-tender and in-person interactions with external and internal customers, to analyse information needs and deliver as required. Present to senior stakeholders internal and external on value drivers within the business.
* Prepare consistent weekly and monthly commercial reporting for the Management and Leadership teams.
* Reports to include sales, margin, overall customer profitability, rebate information, key departmental performance indicators and market trend information.
* Prepare, review and challenge business cases, financial appraisals and pricing reviews for new products, propositions and promotions, ensure adherence to governance processes and collaborate across the business to ensure inputs are accurate. Ensure commercial strategy for new opportunities is developed correctly and priced accordingly.
* Support governance, control and automation of pricing processes; create safeguards for future revenues through improvement of pricing control activities.
* Involvement in the motivation and development of a team of commercial analysts, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
* Project management of internal projects to drive change and improvements to the overall commercial finance function.
Requirements
* Experience working within a dynamic fast-moving environment with tight deadlines.
* Commerce background with accountancy experience preferable, not essential.
* Experience in data analytics / process automation highly desirable.
* A third level degree in Business or Commerce is preferred.
* Highly competent in MS Excel and database systems.
* Experience of Microsoft ERPs is an advantage but not essential.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; a naturally enquiring approach, with a strong commercial mind-set and acumen demonstrated by previous work experience.

* Ability to build and develop collaborative relationships and to influence stakeholders.
* Excellent communication skills.
