Your key responsibilities Designing scalable, secure, and high-performing data architectures using Databricks and cloud-native toolsLeading the development of data models, pipelines, and integration frameworks that support analytics and AICollaborating with clients and internal teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutionsSetting data governance and quality standards to ensure trusted and compliant dataGuiding and mentoring engineering teams through architecture decisions and best practicesDriving innovation by exploring new tools, patterns, and approaches to data architectureSkills and attributes for success To qualify for the role, you must have: A third level qualification in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related discipline, or relevant experience related to the positionProven experience working in a client-facing consulting environment, with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations, navigate complex requirements, and deliver tailored solutions across diverse industries.7 years' experience working with Databricks.
Good hands on experience with Spark, Delta Lake, and Unity CatalogStrong understanding of cloud platforms like Azure, AWS and/or Google CloudExperience designing data lakes, lakehouses, and modern data platformsProven experience managing and mentoring high-performing data engineering teams, driving collaboration, professional growth and successful project deliveryAbility to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesA strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solvingIdeally, you will also have: Familiarity with data security, privacy, and compliance frameworksKnowledge of data mesh, data fabric, or other emerging architecture patternsProfessional certification in Databricks
