A well established nursing home in Leitrim has an opportunity for an Assistant Person in Charge (APIC) to lead and organise the management of the nursing home. This includes establishing and upholding a standard of residential care and activities in
alignment with the best national and international practices
The APIC supports and aids the PIC in managing all staff, ensuring adherence to the standards set
Reporting to The Person in Charge or delegated person.
Duties & Responsibilities
In the absence of the Person in Charge, the APIC is responsible for assuming the role and dutiesoutlined by the Health Act 2007, related regulations, and HIQA National Quality Standards. To support and assist the PIC in overseeing the nursing home's organisation, management, and operations. This involves providing leadership and clinical supervision to enhance standards and team morale. rent and valid Infection Control, Manual and Resident Moving & Handling, Medication
Required:
Minimum 6 years’ post-registration nursing experience.
Minimum 2 years’ work experience in a Nursing Home environment. Minimum 2 year work experience in a
management position
Experience in leading, motivating and supporting an effective and efficient team.
Proven clinical competence and passionate about delivering outstanding care to older people.
