Job Title: Head of Payroll
We are seeking a seasoned payroll professional to lead our team and drive business growth through efficient and accurate processing of client payrolls. The successful candidate will oversee the entire payroll function, supported by our experienced payroll team.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversight of accurate and timely end-to-end processing of all client payrolls.
2. Development and implementation of the firm's accounting technology strategy to best serve clients.
3. Supporting the payroll manager and team in resolving technical queries, conducting one-on-ones, and appraisals.
4. Proficiency in various accounting/payroll software programs (Thesaurus, Sage Micropay, Brightpay, Xero & SAP) to make qualified recommendations to clients.
Requirements:
1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a busy bureau environment.
2. Working knowledge of accounting software packages with a high aptitude for using new software.
3. Experience implementing new payroll systems and processes.
4. Large volume and/or multiple payrolls management.
5. Leadership and management skills an advantage.
6. Excellent knowledge of relevant PRSI/Tax legislation.
7. Ability to keep up to date with legislative changes.
8. Discretion when handling sensitive information.
9. Organisation, time-management, and communication skills.
10. Decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
