About The Role
Role: Mechanical Technician / Fitter Description/Definition Mechanical Technicians / Fitter are required to undertake all types of mechanical installations including pipe work and site fabrication across water and waste water treatment plants, commercial, industrial and domestic type installations.
A strong ability to interpret technical documents and manuals. Responsibilities/Key Duties To perform skilled preventative maintenance, tests and repairs in a variety of areasDesign minor mechanical and plumbing installationsCarry out all mechanical and plumbing installationsCalculating material quantities and listsFinding and solving (troubleshooting) of mechanical and/or plumbing issuesReporting to Senior Mechanical TechnicianTo act as a mentor for an apprenticeMechanical fit out of water and waste water treatments plantsDomestic plumbing installationsReport findings and recommendations to supervisorMaintaining records of all work undertakenTo complete relevant safety documentationAbout You
Requirements Relevant qualification – FETAC/City & Guilds or equivalent experienceExperience in the water and waste water industry would be an advantageAbility to read CAD and PNID drawingsMust be flexible in working hoursTo be able to work on own initiative and to work as part of a teamAbility to work in confined spaces and to work at heightFull driving licenceExperience of welding of steel and plastic would be an advantage About Us
