I am currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Technical Sales Consultant to join a specialist team supporting sales and services within the Cranial & Spine portfolio. This includes spinal and cranial navigation, imaging, robotics, and technical equipment support. This role is with a medical device multinational.
It is a 12 month contract, remote.
In this role, you'll play a key part in supporting operating theatre teams with both clinical and technical implant/equipment expertise. You'll also deliver staff training, ensure smooth inventory management, and work closely with a team of Therapy Sales Specialists & Technical Consultants to provide district-wide coverage.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide technical and clinical support in operating theatres for cranial and spine procedures.
2. Cover cases across the assigned territory and support intraoperative sales.
3. Troubleshoot equipment issues for both customers and the sales team.
4. Contribute to staff and customer training/education programs.
5. Attend and support regional events such as congresses and customer meetings.
6. Maintain inventory levels in line with guidelines.
7. Identify opportunities to improve processes, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance.
8. Support the introduction and market release of new products.
9. Assist with lead generation, large capital equipment support, and break/fix services.
Requirements:
10. Degree in Engineering, Radiography, Life Sciences, Business, Biology, Physiotherapy, Nursing, or another relevant field.
11. Experience in a similar role.
12. Experience in the medical device industry or within a hospital operating theatre environment.
13. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively alongside sales teams, physicians, nurses, and theatre staff.
14. Capable of working independently while also being a team player.
15. Flexibility to travel and provide weekend support where needed.
16. Open to considering recent engineering graduates with a keen interest in the field.
