Talbot Hotel Cork is part of the Talbot Collection are currently recruiting for a part time Breakfast Chef for 2 days to join our team. Prepare, produce and cook food for Breakfast service to the agreed 4-star company standards.Main Duties:Operating and managing the pastry section of the kitchen and liaising with the Head chef to ensure a successful working environment.Preparing ingredients and handling kitchen equipment.Developing new recipes for seasonal menus.Monitoring and Ordering the stock.Ensuring the kitchen section adheres to safety and health regulations.Training staff members, when needed.Have the ability to work in various kitchen sections, if and as required;Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely fashion;Operate in a safe and responsible manner with recognised techniques;Work as part of a busy kitchen team and overall as part of a professional hotel team;The successful candidate must have:Previous experience in a similar position, preferably in a 4* hotel environment;Be HACCP trained and hygiene focused;Have a flair for presentation;Excellent attention to detail;Have a professional appearance & a positive work attitude;Ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen environment.Be flexible and available to work varying shifts, 2/3 out of 7 days.Some of the benefits of joining the team at Oriel House:Free parkingComplimentary Leisure Club MembershipStaff MealsContributory company pension scheme.
