Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering innovative design solutions for new concepts and customisation of existing products for customers across the globe.
The post holder will work within multi-disciplined engineering teams to ensure delivery to cost, time, quality, and adherence to strict aerospace regulations and suitability for manufacturing.
Liaising with 3rd party vendors in support of projects is also a key responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supporting prototyping for new projects considering the implications of issues such as cost, safety, and time constraints.
2. Creating relevant documentation, such as test plans and reports for electrical testing of seats.
3. Supporting customer meetings as required.
4. Providing end-to-end support on an electrical basis throughout the lifecycle of projects.
5. Supporting the engineering team to achieve key milestone dates and work with internal stakeholders to assist with production investigating, troubleshooting, and resolution of build and test issues.
6. Supporting change management through research, concepts, design reviews, trade studies, impact analysis, and implementation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you will need:
* A relevant degree or apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering or a minimum of 2 years working in an engineering environment.
* Previous experience with one of the design software packages such as AutoCad, ProE, SolidWorks, Catia etc.
* Proficient with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interface with customers, manufacturing, suppliers, and production.
* Results-driven with a can-do attitude to ensure solutions.
* Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
