We are currently recruiting a full-time Merchandiser/Store Assistant to join our busy retail and builders' merchants environment. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role suited to someone who enjoys an active working day and takes pride in delivering excellent service.The Successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining high standards while providing a friendly, professional experience for every customer.Key responsibilities include:Paint mixing and order processing / pickingSupporting general day-to-day store operations as requiredReceiving, checking and processing deliveries in line with goods-in proceduresMaintaining a tidy, organised back-store and yard areaDelivering excellent customer service and confidently assisting customers with queries and product selectionMerchandising shelves and displays to a consistently high standardWorking closely with the Store Manager to implement layout changes, promotions, ends and side displaysEnsuring accurate pricing, labelling and stock rotation at all times.The role involves regular manual handling, including moving stock and maintaining merchandising displays, and is best suited to someone comfortable with physical work as part of their daily routine.5 days per week rostered between Monday to Saturday 8.15am-8.30pm(occasional Saturday)Friendly, approachable and confident dealing with customersNaturally personable with a positive, can-do attitudeComfortable working in a fast-paced, practical retail environmentWell organised, reliable and attentive to detailFlexible and willing to turn their hand to a variety of tasksPrevious customer service or retail experience is an advantage, but not essentialIdeally based locally or within a reasonable commuting distance, with the ability to reliably attend rostered shifts, including early starts and Saturdays.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: €14.15 per hourExpected hours: 41.25 per weekAbility to commute/relocate:Kilcock, CO.
