The vacancy Relief Support Worker (Level 2) presents an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism. As a support worker, you will be responsible for delivering person-centred care and support, promoting social inclusion and independence.
You will work directly with service users to promote their personal goals and ambitions through a values-led, human rights-based approach. This role involves delivering daily living skills, such as personal care, meal preparation, shopping, and budgeting.
Additionally, you will encourage participation in community activities, outings, and holidays. You will also respond to behavioural distress using approved intervention techniques and assist with medication management.
As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with external professionals to ensure compliance with HIQA National Standards for Residential Services.
Shift patterns will include a 24-hour rota, including day, evening, weekend, waking nights, and sleepovers.
