Field Service Engineer – Medical Devices (Dublin Territory)
Location: Dublin area
Salary: €48,000 – €53,000 + Bonus + Company Car
Overview
A global medical device company is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and support advanced robotic drug storage systems. This is a customer-facing role involving both on-site and remote technical support.
Key Responsibilities
Install, commission, and maintain complex electro-mechanical systems
Support project delivery in line with agreed timelines
Diagnose and resolve faults (remote and on-site), ensuring high first-time fix rates
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance
Provide customer training and build strong client relationships
Coordinate with on-site teams and third-party contractors
Maintain accurate service records, reports, and expenses
Manage spare parts stock and ordering
Participate in on-call rota (evenings/weekends) and travel as required
Requirements
Level 6 qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
Proven experience in electro-mechanical service, repair, and installation
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills (in person and remote)
Ability to manage workload, schedule, and priorities independently
Team player with a proactive approach to learning and development
Experience managing spare parts inventory
